Groom Asks His Bride to Turn Around and She Starts Crying When She Sees These Uninvited Guests

Whether or not you consider yourself a bridezilla (or groomzilla), if you want a wedding, chances are you already have a pretty good idea about how you want it to go. And with all the planning that goes into a wedding, it makes sense why even the smallest change in plans can cause a tearful meltdown.
When British bride, Liz Ravenhall was preparing for her big day, she had no idea just how much her carefully planned ceremony would go off the rails. As she put the finishing touches on her makeup and slipped on her heels, she couldn’t have known what was underway at the church…
When Liz — who worked as a dance teacher — and her fiance Ollie got engaged, they knew their wedding would have to be something special. And theirs certainly would be. Just not in the way she expected.
At first, the ceremony went perfectly: Soft orchestral music started to play, the groom and bridesmaids walked down the aisle. When Liz arrived in her gorgeous wedding dress, she gave the audience an enthusiastic thumbs-up.
Finally, the couple met at the altar and turned towards the officiant, ready to become husband and wife. At this point of the ceremony, all eyes should’ve been on the bride and groom, but everyone was looking somewhere else — and it wasn’t at the ring bearers.
To the right side of the aisle, a photographer suddenly appeared. We’ve all heard horror stories of wedding photographers getting in the way and ruining the ceremony, so the guests initially looked confused —and a little concerned.
However, when another photographer popped up on the left side of the aisle, it became clear that something was going on. There was no need for two cameras, especially when they weren’t even pointed towards the altar!
In fact, the cameras were pointed towards the back of the church. Whispers from suspicious family members took over the ceremony, but they quickly died down with a shhhh. The bride, after all, had no idea this was going on!
Yep, as far as she knew, the ceremony was going on as peacefully as it had begun. All the while, the bride faced the altar, totally unaware of the quiet commotion happening in the crowd. But her husband-to-be?
Ollie had noticed the disturbance, but did not let on to Liz. By now, everyone was looking up at the balcony — not at the bride and groom at all. No one knew what was about to happen…except for Ollie.
See, in an effort to make their special day even more memorable, Ollie had concocted a plan to shock Liz with the surprise of a lifetime. He knew he had to show her just how much she meant to him.
And the moment of truth was upon him. Gently touching Liz’s arm, Ollie turned her around. Confused, all she had to go by was the excited look on Ollie’s face. She followed his gaze up to the balcony — and burst into tears.
A crowd of children standing on the balcony suddenly started singing, filling the church with beautiful music. With the kids performing “A Thousand Years” by Christina Perry, the shocked bride wiped away her tears. But the moment was far from over.
Liz turned to Ollie with disbelief, smiling and dabbing at her eyes with a tissue. He looked back at her, clearly pleased with her reaction. The song obviously meant a lot to her, as she mouthed the words along with the kids.
“I have loved you for a thousand years,” the song goes, “I’ll love you for a thousand more.” It makes sense why these words brought the bride to tears!
When the children started to sing, the audience of friends and family also starting crying. Seeing someone they cared about receive such a heartwarming gift from her soon-to-be husband was just too much love to handle!
As the song continued, Ollie kissed his soon-to-be-wife’s forehead, delighted that his gift had surprised her so much. They even laughed at each other for getting so emotional. But for Liz, the most emotional part had nothing to do with the song choice.
The children singing were actually Liz’s students at Jaykays Dance Company! Clearly, the children loved Liz enough to prepare such a personal and beautiful performance for her wedding day. For any bride, such a display of love would mean the world…
…Especially if you had no idea it was coming. Ollie and everyone involved had planned for months, and Liz was none the wiser! It was obvious how much the students loved Liz — the video of the performance is even called “Miss Liz’s Wedding Surprise!”
As the kids finished their song, Liz waved happily up at them, and they all waved back, cheering for their newlywed teacher. The audience’s opinion of the performance was unanimous: There wasn’t a dry eye in the house!
The only thing that could make a wedding ceremony more emotional than others is the angelic sound of singing children! Ollie’s heartfelt symbol of his feelings for Liz made for an unforgettable wedding ceremony, one that could only be bested by one thing…
